Andalucía exceeds 2026 solar self-consumption power targets

The regional government of Andalucía has exceeded its 2026 target for installed power capacity through shared self-consumption. As of June 30, 2026, the region reached 71 MW of collective installation capacity, representing 109% of the 68 MW goal established in the 'Roadmap for the development of collective self-consumption and solar and energy communities'.

Regarding the number of installations, Andalucía is approaching its goal of doubling existing facilities. The region currently has 1,776 active collective self-consumption installations, which is 78% of the target to reach 2,000 installations by the end of 2026. These facilities allow citizens and businesses to consume green energy generated by nearby photovoltaic installations.

Jorge Paradela, the regional Minister of University, Industry, Energy, and Innovation, presented these figures during the III Energy Communities Summit in Seville. He noted that these results confirm the regional government's commitment to collective self-consumption as a necessary step for the advancement of energy communities.
