Andalucía seeks to become a central hub for 2030 World Cup

The Real Federación Andaluza de Fútbol (RFAF) is seeking to position the Andalucía region as a central hub for the 2030 World Cup. Beyond hosting matches, the federation aims to establish the region as a primary base for international teams to prepare and concentrate during the tournament.

While the La Cartuja stadium in Seville and La Rosaleda in Málaga are already confirmed as match venues, Pedro Curtido, president of the RFAF, argues that Andalucía’s strategic location between the three host nations—Spain, Portugal, and Morocco—makes it an ideal epicenter. The region intends to leverage its climate, hotel capacity, and diverse sports facilities, including locations such as Marbella Football Center, Costa del Sol, Granada, and Punta Umbría, to support international delegations.
