Spain and Chile face diverse weather alerts and storms

Various regions in Spain and Chile are facing significant meteorological shifts. In Chile, Senapred has issued a Preventive Early Warning for the Biobío Region due to expected wind speeds of up to 80 km/h and rainfall between 2 and 50 mm. In Coronel, heavy rains and wind forced the early closure of local festivities. Santiago is also expecting a change in weather, with an atmospheric river potentially bringing 3 to 15 mm of rain to the Metropolitan Region.

In Spain, AEMET reports a period of transition. While much of the country will experience stability and rising temperatures as autumn begins, specific areas face instability. The southeast peninsula, including Murcia, Alicante, and Almería, as well as the Balearic Islands (Ibiza and Formentera), are at risk of strong storms and heavy rain. Additionally, the Strait of Gibraltar is under yellow alerts for strong Levante winds reaching up to 80 km/h. Other regions like Andalusia will see a mix of heat in the west and potential storms in the eastern mountains.
