Andalusia adds 17,431 public sector jobs and 41 new judicial posts

The Andalusian regional government has approved a massive public‑service hiring plan for 2026, creating 17,431 permanent positions. The offer is split into three blocks: 10,289 jobs in the health sector, 3,720 in education and 3,422 in general administration. The health allocation, the largest ever, focuses on nursing, auxiliary care technicians, orderlies and administrative staff to replace a wave of retirements.

In a separate but related measure, the Junta has earmarked €2.14 million to fund 41 new judicial posts across the region. The investment will add eight forensic doctors to the provincial institutes of legal medicine, 33 additional positions in various courts, and new civil‑registry posts in Almería and other municipalities. The reforms aim to modernise Andalusia’s justice system by expanding staff and converting peace courts into municipal justice offices.

Both initiatives are part of the implementation of the Organic Law on Efficiency of the Public Justice Service, with recruitment to begin in 2025 and selections scheduled throughout the year.
