Andalusia allocates millions to support young farmers
Laura Soto, the delegate for Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Rural Development in Málaga, has highlighted the importance of generational renewal in the agricultural sector. During a visit to Archidona, she showcased a farm managed by a young beneficiary of regional subsidies designed to support young farmers and ranchers.
In the province of Málaga, 5.3 million euros have been allocated to facilitate the integration and employment of over one hundred young people in the countryside. These subsidies, managed under the Strategic Plan for the CAP (PEPAC) 2023-2027 and funded by European Feader funds, are part of a larger 130 million euro initiative across Andalusia. The incentives, aimed at individuals aged 18 to 40, range from 30,000 to 80,000 euros per beneficiary, with the goal of modernizing the sector through technology and digitalization while encouraging female participation.
