Andalusia announces Andatauro bullfighting platform

Antonio Sanz, the Vice President of the Junta de Andalucía and Minister of Presidency, Health, and Emergencies, has announced the launch of Andatauro. The platform, which will include a web portal and a mobile application featuring audiovisual content from Canal Sur, is described as Spain’s first comprehensive public platform dedicated to bullfighting.

Andatauro is one of four measures presented to support the sector, which also includes the digitalization of bullfighting records and the development of an Andalusian Bullfighting Strategy expected by early 2027. While the specific launch date and costs remain undisclosed, the regional government allocated over one million euros in 2024 to promote and incentivize bullfighting.

Sanz’s announcement comes as he continues to manage the regional health department, a role he assumed following a crisis regarding breast cancer screening programs.
