Andalusia announces fashion subsidies and venture capital funds
The Regional Government of Andalusia has announced two distinct financial initiatives to support the regional economy.
First, the Ministry of Culture, Historical Heritage, and Sport has established a 500,000 euro fund to promote the Andalusian fashion sector. This initiative, published in the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA), provides subsidies for designers to participate in fashion shows and events, covering costs such as collection manufacturing, model hiring, and stylists. A second line of aid is dedicated to the organization of fashion events both within and outside the region.
Separately, the Ministry of University, Industry, Energy, and Innovation is mobilizing 150 million euros through venture capital funds to finance Andalusian companies. Managed by Mar Océana, Alter Capital Desarrollo, and Quadriga Asset Managers, the initiative aims to deploy 76.7 million euros in public-private financing by the end of 2026. This program is designed to strengthen access to risk capital and provide strategic investment tools for growing businesses across various sectors.
