Andalusia announces Torrox International Choir Festival and Íllora Parapanda Folk Festival
The municipality of Torrox in the province of Málaga unveiled its XLV International Festival of Choirs and Dances, scheduled for 1 August in Plaza Almedina and 3 August on the Avenida del Faro. The event will feature local and international groups, including the Association Folklórica “Las Nogaleas” from Cáceres and the Peruvian company Señor Perú‑Herencia Viva, under the theme “Los retales de mi vida”.
Separately, the mayor of Íllora, Antonio Salazar, announced the XXXV Parapanda Folk Festival, a seven‑day program running from 27 July to 2 August at the Anfiteatro Enrique Morente in Granada province. The free‑admission festival will host a range of performances—from folk and flamenco to Mediterranean fusion—highlighting artists such as Luar Na Lubre, Acetre, and Javier Paxariño.
