Andalusia boosts vocational training with new investments

The Andalusian regional government is implementing several initiatives to strengthen vocational training (FP) across the region. In Torre Pacheco, the Ministry of Education announced a 2.6 million euro investment for a new pavilion at IES Gerardo Molina. This facility will include five multipurpose classrooms, three technical classrooms, and three workshops specializing in administration, automotive, and IT. Additionally, 156,000 euros will be allocated for an elevator to improve accessibility at the institute.

In Almería, authorities held the ‘Dinamizar la FP y la Empresa’ conference at the Almería Science and Technology Park (PITA). The event brought together 43 vocational training centers and approximately 30 companies to foster collaboration through innovation, digitalization, and entrepreneurship. The initiative aims to align educational curricula with the needs of the local labor market, specifically focusing on areas such as sustainable agriculture and robotics.
