Andalusia data breach affects PAC subsidy beneficiaries

The Spanish National Police are investigating a data breach involving Tecnoabi, a service company contracted by the Andalusian Ministry of Agriculture. The hack compromised personal data belonging to beneficiaries of Common Agricultural Policy (PAC) direct aid for the years 2005–2012 and 2016.

Authorities have clarified that the breach does not affect subsidy payments and that the unauthorized access did not impact the Junta de Andalucía directly. The regional government has implemented strict monitoring measures to detect suspicious activity.

Tecnoabi has reported the security violation to both the police and the Spanish Data Protection Agency. In response, the Junta de Andalucía has activated security protocols and notified the Andalusian Transparency and Data Protection Council. Affected individuals are advised to remain vigilant against suspicious communications, such as phishing attempts via email, calls, or messages.
