Andalusia focuses on healthcare reform and Cádiz infrastructure

As the new political term begins in Andalusia, regional leaders and opposition groups are focusing on healthcare reforms and major infrastructure projects. The Andalusian government has committed to a deep reform of the Servicio Andaluz de Salud (SAS) over the next four years, aiming to modernize the system through digitalization and artificial intelligence.

Health officials are also working to mitigate the impact of medical strikes, which previously cost the region over 173 million euros. Negotiations are underway with unions such as CSIF, CC OO, and UGT to improve working conditions and address grievances regarding the 'Estatuto Marco'.

In Cádiz, the political group Adelante Izquierda Gaditana (AIG) is demanding concrete timelines for several key projects. These include the Mentidero health center, the Balneario de la Palma, the Ciudad de la Justicia, and a new hospital. While a tender has been launched for structural repairs at the Balneario de la Palma with a budget of 409,000 euros, local leaders are calling for more effective progress on these essential public works.
