Andalusia Government Pact Rejects EU Green Deal and Agenda 2030

The coalition government formed by the Partido Popular (PP) and Vox in Andalusia includes a detailed agreement that explicitly opposes the European Green Deal and the United Nations Agenda 2030. The pact commits the regional administration to protect the primary sector, refusing any measures that could harm agriculture, livestock, hunting or fishing.

Key provisions call for the official rejection of the EU Common Agricultural Policy reform for 2028‑2034 and the climate‑conditionality linked to the Green Deal. The agreement also promises to eliminate existing regional environmental taxes on plastic bags, gas emissions and water discharges, halve taxes related to agriculture and livestock, and safeguard arable land from large‑scale wind and solar projects, especially on irrigated or high‑value soils.
