Andalusia increases economic convergence with Spain in 2025

Andalusia has increased its economic convergence with the Spanish national average, reaching 76.2% of the national GDP per capita in 2025. This represents a nine-tenths increase from the 75.3% recorded in 2024.

According to regional accounting data, Andalusia's real GDP grew by 3.2% in 2025, outperforming the national growth rate of 2.8%. Since 2019, the region's accumulated real GDP has increased by 12.9%, compared to 12.3% for Spain as a whole.

Carolina España, the regional Minister of Economy, Finance, and European Funds, stated that this trend is a result of economic policies implemented by the government of Juanma Moreno. She highlighted measures focused on stability, competitiveness, administrative simplification, and fiscal policy. This recovery marks a reversal of a decade-long decline between 2008 and 2018, during which the region's relative GDP per capita dropped from 76.7% to 74.1%.
