Andalusia invests 3 million euros in tablets for emergency services
The Junta de Andalucía has launched a technological renewal project for its extra-hospital emergency and urgency services. An investment of over 3 million euros has been allocated to distribute 850 new high-tech tablets to medical teams across the region.
First Vice President and Minister of Presidency, Health, and Emergencies, Antonio Sanz, announced that the rollout will occur in two phases. By October, all 061 emergency sanitary teams and Primary Care mobile urgency teams will use the devices to access the Digital Clinical History in Mobility (HCDM). A second phase, expected before the end of the year, will extend this tool to mobile Primary Care teams that previously lacked access.
The initiative aims to improve patient care by providing immediate access to medical histories, allergies, and clinical data in the field, whether at a home, on a public road, or in a public space. The distribution includes various provinces: Seville (132), Cádiz (124), Málaga (123), Jaén (101), Huelva (97), Granada (95), Almería (89), and Córdoba (89). The investment also covers technological infrastructure updates, staff training, and connectivity improvements.
