Andalusia invests over €2.4 million in school upgrades across Granada and Campo de Gibraltar

The Provincial Council of Granada is allocating €240,000 to improve the CEIP Sagrado Corazón and the Camino de La Malahá in the municipality of Alhendín. The work includes classroom cleaning, door replacement, floor renovation, painting, heating system upgrades and safety improvements for hundreds of pupils.

The Junta de Andalucía is spending more than €2.2 million on two major projects in the Campo de Gibraltar area. In Algeciras, €1.1 million funds the creation of new vocational‑training spaces at IES Torre Almirante. In La Línea de la Concepción, another €1.1 million finances a comprehensive rehabilitation of the IES Virgen de la Esperanza. These interventions are part of a broader programme of 24 large educational works in Andalusia, totalling €135.2 million, funded by regional resources and the European Regional Development Fund.
