Andalusia launches music mentorship forums and talent contest

The Brisa Studio event opened at the Victoria factory in Andalusia on July 16‑17, featuring a two‑day programme of specialised talks on copyright, communication, artificial intelligence, contracting, sponsorships and artistic development. Speakers included José Lucas Chaves, director of SGAE for Andalucía, the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla; journalist Arturo Paniagua; María José Pérez on live‑performance contracts; Lolo Aznar on sponsorships; and representatives from Jagermusic, Artica Agency, Primavera Sound, and Jenesaispop.

Meanwhile, the Ateneo of Mairena del Aljarafe announced the Ícaro Festival de Nuevos Talentos 2026, a music‑talent competition open to unsigned soloists and groups of any genre. Submissions were accepted until 25 July, with the selection of four finalists by online public vote and an independent jury. The final will be held on 10 October at the Ateneo, offering a €1,000 prize to the winning act and aiming to showcase emerging music in Seville and the wider Andalusian region.
