Andalusia Olympic Plan 2026 allocates funds for regional athletes

The Fundación Andalucía Olímpica has announced the 2026 edition of the Plan Andalucía Olímpica, providing a total investment of 517,160 euros. The program aims to support athletes and technical staff in their preparation for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, the 2030 Winter Olympics, and other major international competitions including the European Games and Youth Olympic Games.

A total of 301 awards will be distributed among 213 athletes, 37 coaches, and 51 clubs across 30 Andalusian federations. In the sailing sector, the regional federation will receive 12,717 euros, benefiting six sailors and five technicians. Specific recipients in sailing include Pilar González de La Madrid Trueba, Olivia Sánchez Moral, and several athletes in the FUTURE category.

Patricia del Pozo, president of the Fundación Andalucía Olímpica, stated that the increasing number of applicants is a sign of rising sporting standards in the region and highlighted the importance of the developmental path toward the Olympics.
