Alfonso Fernández Mañueco unveils new PP‑Vox coalition cabinet in Castilla y León

The president of the Junta of Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, announced a new 12‑member executive for his third term, marking the second government formed by the coalition of the People’s Party (PP) and Vox. The cabinet includes four women and five newly appointed officials: three Vox ministers – Carlos Pollán, Alberto Díaz Pico and Joaquín Antonio Pino – and two PP newcomers, Cristina Sanchidrián and María Pardo.

Vox secured the first vice‑presidency, with Pollán also taking the portfolio of Desregulation, Family and Social Aid. Other Vox ministries cover Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Policy (Pino) and Culture, Tourism and Sport (Díaz Pico). PP retained key posts, keeping Carlos Fernández Carriedo as minister of Economy and Finance and Alejandro Vázquez as minister of Health and Social Welfare for a third consecutive term. The PP‑Vox agreement also moved Juan Carlos Suárez‑Quiñones from the Environment ministry to head Industry, Universities, Employment and Commerce.

The new government aims to provide a stable majority for Mañueco’s third legislature, while balancing PP’s continuity with Vox’s expanded influence in the regional executive.
