Andalusia posts 0.9% Q2 2026 growth, beating Spain and EU averages

The Andalusian economy expanded by 0.9% in the second quarter of 2026, with a 3.1% year‑on‑year increase, according to the Instituto de Estadística y Cartografía de Andalucía (IECA). This outpaced Spain’s 2.7% annual growth and the Eurozone’s 1% rate.

Industry led the surge with a 5.1% annual rise, while agriculture grew 3.3% and the information‑and‑communications sector jumped 15.5%. Vice‑president and regional economy minister Carolina España said the growth shows a stronger, more diversified and resilient economy. Employment reached historic levels, accounting for more than a quarter of all jobs created in Spain.

The data underline Andalusia’s accelerating convergence with national and European economic performance.
