Andalusia President calls for increased security against drug trafficking
Juanma Moreno, the President of the Junta de Andalucía, has called on the Spanish central government to strengthen security measures and combat drug trafficking in the region. Moreno stated that crime is gaining ground and that the national government must provide the necessary resources to address the issue.
The request follows a violent shooting in Isla Cristina, Huelva, which resulted in the deaths of three people: a 39-year-old pregnant woman, a 62-year-old woman, and a 16-year-old. A fourth individual was critically injured. Authorities suggest the incident may be a retaliation related to a shooting in September 2024 in Huelva.
Additionally, a 45-year-old man was shot to death in the El Tinte neighborhood of Utrera.
