Andalusia public workers face high rejection rates for mobility requests

The Sindicato Andaluz de Funcionarios (SAF) has reported that nine out of ten requests for temporary voluntary mobility by public administration workers in Andalusia are being denied. Out of 572 applications submitted during the most recent period, 504 were rejected.

The highest rejection rates, reaching 94%, were observed among employees in the sectors of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, as well as Justice, Local Administration, and Public Function.

While Andalusian Public Function Law stipulates that such mobility should be the general rule and denials should be exceptional based on service needs, the SAF claims the opposite is occurring. Furthermore, the union noted that of the requests that are granted, three out of ten are the result of administrative silence rather than express authorization.
