Andalusia rejects redistribution of migrant minors from Ceuta

Manuel Gavira, the second Vice President of the Junta de Andalucía, has expressed firm opposition to the redistribution of migrant minors arriving in Ceuta among Spain's autonomous communities. Speaking from the Port of Algeciras, Gavira argued that minors should remain with their parents in their countries of origin, stating that transferring them to mainland Spain would only encourage human trafficking mafias and facilitate future mass arrivals.

Gavira also addressed the instability in Ceuta following the arrival of tens of thousands of people, suggesting that stability will only return once individuals return to their home countries. Additionally, he referenced legal actions taken before the Prosecutor's Office of Cádiz regarding sexual assaults in Ceuta, which may be classified as crimes against humanity. He further emphasized the need to prioritize national citizens for social benefits and public housing.
