Andalusia solar energy subsidies exhausted within 24 hours

The Regional Government of Andalusia has closed two major categories of its solar energy and efficiency program after the allocated budget was exhausted within 24 hours of the application period opening.

A total of 9.7 million euros in funding was depleted, including 5.8 million euros designated for solar energy with storage in private residential buildings and 4 million euros for energy efficiency in non-residential public buildings. The high volume of requests, which included over 400 high-value energy projects, led to the rapid depletion of these specific lines.

While these categories are now closed, the broader program managed by the Andalusian Energy Agency remains active. Approximately 11 million euros in funding continues to be available for energy efficiency projects in private residential buildings, covering measures such as window replacement, thermal insulation, and climate control renovations. These remaining incentives generally cover 50% of investment costs, rising to 65% when renewable energy components are included.
