Andalusia to launch clinical research network and health innovation cluster

The regional government of Andalusia has announced the creation of its first clinical research network in Primary Care. Supported by an initial investment of 300,000 euros, the network aims to connect scientific activity within primary care centers and facilitate the participation of healthcare professionals in new clinical studies and scientific projects.

Additionally, the government will establish a Health Innovation Cluster based at the Granada Health Technology Park. This entity is designed to bring together the public health system, universities, research institutes, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, and technology firms. The goal is to accelerate the clinical validation of new medical solutions and attract both national and European funding.

To support these initiatives, the administration plans to publish the first public employment offer for new clinical researcher categories before the end of the year. This move aims to provide job stability for medical specialists and nursing staff who combine clinical assistance with research. These efforts will complement the Andalusia Health Innovation Pole planned for the Muñoz Cariñanos Hospital in Seville.
