Andalusia to prioritize housing and tax cuts in 2027 budgets

The Andalusian government has announced that its 2027 budgets will prioritize affordable housing and continued tax reductions. Carolina España, the Vice President and Minister of Economy, stated that the upcoming budgets are expected to have the highest parliamentary support in the region's history due to political stability agreements.

Regarding housing, the regional government is advancing a plan to create 5,140 protected housing units for young people across Andalusia, including Almería. This initiative, managed by the Housing and Rehabilitation Agency of Andalusia (AVRA), involves 27 projects aimed at constructing 8,663 total homes through new builds and the rehabilitation of existing buildings. A notable project includes the restoration of the historic Corral de las Flores in Seville, providing 18 apartments for residents under 35 with limited income.

In addition to housing, the administration intends to deepen the tax-cutting policies initiated in 2019, arguing that fiscal reductions are compatible with maintaining public services and rigorous regional account management.
