Andalusia youth golf championships highlight rising players

The Andalusian junior golf circuit saw several standout performances over recent tournaments. At the International Individual Championships of Andalucía held at Golf Almerimar on July 4‑5, Cornelia Bermudo claimed the Infantil Femenina title with a 147 (+3) score. Other champions included Lucas Martín (Infantil Masculino), Sabrina Ribeiro (Alevín Femenina) and Ana Gross (Benjamín Femenina).

In Motril, the Albatros Circuit tournament at Los Moriscos Golf featured a strong showing from Granada's youth. Carlos Ceballos, the 2024 Spanish Alevín champion, won the Scratch prize with 72 shots on a par‑70 course. José López and Luis Hidalgo also secured top places, while Miguel Ángel Velasco won the Primera category. The four category winners earned qualification for the season‑ending Gran Final on 1 November in Playa Serena, Roquetas de Mar.

These events underscore the depth of emerging talent within Andalusia's golf academies and set the stage for a highly competitive national final.
