Andalusian associations recognized for humanitarian and social support
The Alsayf Association of Puerto Real has received a Development Cooperation Award from the Federation of Andalusian Municipalities and Provinces. The award recognizes the organization’s long-term commitment to international solidarity, cooperation, and the defense of human rights, specifically regarding its support for the Sahrawi people. Yolanda Belizón accepted the award during an event in Málaga held to commemorate the Day of Cooperating Persons.
In a separate social initiative, the association Zafra Solidaria, which has supported vulnerable families since 2012, is being reviewed for potential government collaboration. Vice President and Counselor Óscar Fernández Calle visited the organization, which relies on over 500 volunteers providing food aid, psychological support, and educational reinforcement. The regional administration is currently evaluating the association's needs to determine possible forms of support.
