Andalusian authorities approve aid for Doñana North farmers and advance PAC payments

The president of the People's Party in Huelva, Manuel Andrés González, welcomed the Junta de Andalucía’s approval of the regulatory framework for subsidies to farmers and landowners in the Corona Norte de Doñana area. He said the measure fulfills part of a 2023 agreement and depends on the central government's prompt activation of national aid, urging Madrid to speed up the process. González also noted the publication of a separate aid call for victims of the March rail accident in Adamuz.

Separately, the Andalusian government announced an early disbursement of the Common Agricultural Policy (PAC) funds, advancing 70% of a total €715 million to roughly 190,800 agricultural producers, 17% of whom are women. The per‑capita assistance varied widely, from €2,618 in Jaén to €8,775 in Cádiz and €6,728 in Seville, reflecting land‑ownership patterns. Analysts highlighted that a small fraction of beneficiaries, including the large land‑holding Mora‑Figueroa family, receive a disproportionate share of the subsidies, underscoring persistent inequality in the distribution of EU agricultural funds.
