Andalusian flamenco festivals open in San Fernando and Costa Tropical

The XI edition of La Isla Ciudad Flamenca began on 21 July in San Fernando, Spain, featuring nightly flamenco shows across venues such as the Alameda Moreno de Guerra, the historic Venta de Vargas balcony, Plaza del Rey and the Camarón house museum. Highlights include performances by Paco Manano y Familia, Carolina Castilla and Javi Mota, continuing a 42‑day programme that commemorates the 75th anniversary of Camarón de la Isla’s birth.

The 9th edition of La Caña Flamenca Diversa starts 1 August on the Costa Tropical, with concerts in Torrenueva Costa and a closing show on 23 August at the Castillo de La Herradura. Artists such as Manuel Liñán, Nani Cortés, Alba Moreno and the group La Corredera are slated. A new “Caña Joven” ticket offers 10‑euro admission for youths aged 15‑25, while a full‑cycle pass costs 48 euros.
