Andalusian Government Launches 14 Summer Schools for 566 Children in Huelva Province

The Andalusian regional government is implementing 14 summer school programmes across the province of Huelva, serving 566 children from ten municipalities. The initiative, funded with a €5 million allocation (including €550,000 for Huelva), is part of the Programa de Solidaridad y Garantía Alimentaria and the Plan Corresponsables 2026. It provides educational and recreational activities, healthy meals, and support for family‑work balance.

The programme reserves 40 places for children with specific needs and has created 68 new professional jobs. Officials including regional delegate José Manuel Correa and local authorities visited the CEIP Virgen de Belén to inaugurate the schools, highlighting the investment as a long‑term commitment to childhood development and social inclusion.
