Andalusian PP‑Vox coalition agreement criticised by unions and PSOE

The regional government pact signed by the People's Party (PP) and Vox in Andalusia has drawn sharp criticism from labor union CSIF and Andalusian PSOE leader María Jesús Montero. CSIF warns that the agreement’s push for "concertación" with private providers could accelerate the privatization of health and education services, urging instead the reinforcement of public resources and better labour conditions. The union also opposes the proposed progressive partnership with private entities for secondary education, arguing it would lower quality.

Montero described the coalition deal as a "despropósito" and a "barbaridad", condemning the inclusion of a "national priority" clause that she says categorises citizens by origin, income or sexual orientation and threatens equal rights. She highlighted concerns over increased privatization of health care, the removal of the plastic bag tax, and policies that contradict the European Green Deal and Agenda 2030. Both critics see the pact as a step toward further public‑private outsourcing and a drift away from climate commitments and social cohesion.
