Andalusian Health Service deactivates website due to cybersecurity risks

The Andalusian Health Service (SAS) and the Andalusian Employment Service (SAE) have temporarily deactivated their websites as a preventive measure following an international cybersecurity alert. The alert, issued by the National Cryptologic Center (CCN-CERT), identified critical vulnerabilities affecting PHP, a widely used programming language for web services.

While the SAS stated that critical systems, clinical activities, and emergency services remain fully operational and unaffected, the outage has disrupted administrative processes. The UGT Andalucía union has reported that thousands of healthcare professionals are currently unable to manage essential labor procedures, including public employment offers (OPE), transfer competitions, and recruitment pools.

In response to the technical disruption, the UGT union is demanding that the administration extend the legal deadlines for these administrative procedures by the same number of days the websites remain inoperable. The union also called for the implementation of alternative channels to ensure professionals can access necessary information and complete required tasks.
