Andalusian Health Service omits nurses' Covid experience from employment listings

The Andalusian Nursing Union (Satse) has called for an immediate correction to the Andalusian Health Service (SAS) after provisional rankings for a new employment pool excluded nurses' work in elderly homes and care centers during the Covid‑19 pandemic. The provisional lists, published on 8 July, covered the categories of Nurse and Specialist Nurse and received 32,382 applications. Satse says many professionals do not have their pandemic‑era service recognized, despite a 2020 regional government agreement and a November 2020 SAS resolution that defined such facilities as public health centres for experience credit.

Satse noted it warned SAS in January 2021 about the issue, but received no response. The union is now advising affected nurses to submit appeals before the deadline on 24 July, demanding that the omitted experience be reinstated in the rankings.
