Andalusian Justice Boosts Staff in Algeciras and Marbella Courts

The Andalusian Public Prosecutor's Office (BOJA) announced the creation of new procedural staff positions in the prosecutor's offices of Algeciras and Marbella. One new role will support the Violence Against Women unit in Algeciras, while additional personnel will reinforce the sexual offences and gender‑based violence sections in Marbella. The aim is to ease case backlogs, accelerate processing of sensitive investigations and improve victim assistance.

The measures are part of a broader effort to match resource levels with rising case volumes in the region’s justice system, seeking faster handling of gender‑related crimes and better coordination between courts and prosecutors.
