Andalusian performing arts venues announce new seasons and festival updates

The Teatro Cánovas has announced its new season, beginning October 2. The program features approximately 50 companies, half of which are from Andalusia, covering theater, dance, circus, music, and street arts. The season focuses on accessibility and intergenerational engagement, with a strong emphasis on supporting local creators. The season opens with the Malaga-based company La Coracha Teatro performing ‘La pastilla de la felicidad’.

In Seville, the Bienal de Flamenco is entering its final week, utilizing the recently renovated Teatro Lope de Vega. The festival highlights the essential, behind-the-scenes work of technical crews responsible for sound, lighting, and machinery coordination. Performers such as Aurora Vargas and Juana Amaya are featured in the lineup, supported by a technical team ensuring seamless live production in the historic venue.
