Andalusia's Huelva to host Snipe sailing cup as Conil chases Copa del Rey spot

The Real Club Marítimo de Huelva will stage the third edition of the Copa de Andalucía de Snipe on 1‑2 August in the Huelva estuary. Twenty‑six boats have entered, including a Spanish Navy team from Cádiz and a Portuguese Navy cadet squad. organisers highlighted the challenging west wind and currents that will force crews to devise tactical strategies. The event aims to promote the technically demanding but family‑friendly Snipe class across Andalusia.

Meanwhile, the football club Conil is set to compete in the preliminary phases of the Copa Real Federación Andaluza, with the goal of qualifying for the national stage of the Copa del Rey. The semifinal against Pozoblanco is scheduled for 16 August (leg) and 19 August (return), followed by a two‑leg final on 23 and 30 August. Success would give the side a chance to face a Primera División team in the national tournament.
