Andav Congress highlights role of agricultural input distribution in Brazil

The 15th Andav Congress concluded in São Paulo, drawing over 18,000 participants and 260 brands. The event, organized by Zest Eventos, focused on the strategic role of agricultural and veterinary input distributors in the Brazilian agribusiness sector.

During the event, Diógenes Kassaoka, Executive Secretary of Agriculture and Supply of the State of São Paulo, noted that the input distribution sector moves more than R$ 160 billion annually. Discussions centered on economic scenarios, management, innovation, sustainability, and tax reform.

Industry leaders emphasized the evolution of the sector toward applied intelligence. Ingo Plöger, president of the Brazilian Agribusiness Association (ABAG), stated that future distributors will act as partners in applied intelligence, utilizing technologies to reduce input use and increase productivity.
