Ander Herrera returns to Real Zaragoza to play for free
Ander Herrera, the 37-year-old former Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, has returned to his boyhood club, Real Zaragoza. The move comes after a 15-year absence from the Spanish side, following his tenure at Boca Juniors.
In a gesture to support the club during its current financial difficulties and its position in the Spanish third tier, Herrera has opted to play for free. He stated that he does not require a contract due to his successful career and intends to donate his salary to the Real Zaragoza Foundation.
