Anderlecht appoints former VRT journalist Leen De Witte as communications chief
Leen De Witte, a veteran journalist who spent more than fourteen years at the Belgian public broadcaster VRT, will become the new spokesperson and Media Relations & Community Manager of football club RSC Anderlecht starting 1 September. The move marks a shift from her long‑standing role covering European politics and presenting radio programmes such as “De Ochtend” to handling the club’s communications and community outreach.
De Witte’s career began at the Brussels local station Bruzz before she joined VRT, where she became a familiar voice on news and European affairs. She said the Anderlecht position offers a fresh challenge and brings her back closer to Brussels, the city where her journalism career started.
