Rapid Bucharest eyes new signings after Borza cash influx
Romanian club Rapid Bucharest received €2.2 million from the transfer of 20‑year‑old left‑back Andrei Borza to Turkish side Corumspor. Owner Dan Sucu said he is ready to “open the tap” and will reinvest the funds to bring in three foreign players – a left‑back, an attacking midfielder and a striker – reportedly from Italy, after also selling midfielder Tobias Christensen for €700 000 earlier this summer.
In addition, Rapid has arranged a season‑long loan of 22‑year‑old Kosovar midfielder Drilon Hazrollaj to FK Tirana in Albania, with an option to purchase, following limited playing time at the club. These moves illustrate Rapid’s active summer market strategy aimed at reshaping the squad.
