Andernach police arrest teenager after stolen bus chase

On Thursday evening, a witness spotted the stolen bus in Mülheim-Kärlich, prompting a police response. The driver ignored stop signals and led officers on a chase via the B9 federal highway and various field paths. The pursuit concluded in a dead end in the Miesenheim district.

Two occupants fled the vehicle on foot into nearby hedges. Officers located and detained the 17-year-old hiding in a bush. While a second individual managed to evade immediate capture, investigators stated they have leads regarding the person's identity. The bus has been recovered, and criminal proceedings have been initiated.
