Andernach police conduct speed controls on B9 highway

The Andernach Police conducted undercover speed controls on the B9 highway between Koblenz and Andernach near Weißenthurm. The operation followed increased citizen complaints regarding excessive speeding and dangerous driving behavior on the heavily traveled route.

During the controls, officers identified several drivers exceeding the 100 km/h speed limit, with many recorded traveling at speeds above 130 km/h. Notable infractions included a school transport vehicle recorded at 126 km/h, resulting in a fine and a point in the driving register, and another driver clocked at 131 km/h who faces a 200 EUR fine and a registry entry.
