Andernach police to conduct large-scale security exercise

Police in Andernach are conducting a large-scale security exercise at the local Jobcenter building on Tuesday morning, September 29, 2026. The drill is designed to simulate security-relevant scenarios under realistic conditions to improve cooperation between authorities and emergency services.

The exercise will result in road closures on Koblenzer Straße, specifically from the intersection of Konrad-Adenauer-Allee to Werftstraße. While local businesses and the hospital remain accessible via detours through Augsbergweg or Werftstraße, the Jobcenter will not offer in-person appointments during the drill. Services will remain available via telephone and email.
