Victoria Hospitals Foundation receives $1,642 from youth lemonade stand

Anders Yee, a young entrepreneur in Gordon Head, has exceeded his fundraising goal for the Victoria Hospitals Foundation. Operating a lemonade stand alongside three friends, Yee raised $1,642, surpassing his initial target of $1,000.

The annual fundraiser, held on August 17, serves as a tribute to Yee’s father, who passed away unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm on the same date in 2022. In addition to lemonade, the stand featured homemade ice cream and 3D-printed items such as fidgets and key rings.

Gaelle van Erp, the head of marketing and communications for the Victoria Hospitals Foundation, praised Yee as a “driven entrepreneur” and a leader who is dedicated to giving back to the community and the hospitals that cared for his father.
