Anderson Guiné and Hildon Chaves gather support in Brazilian elections

Anderson Guiné, a pre‑candidate for the Distrito Federal deputy seat with the Avante party, has intensified his pre‑campaign by courting a broad coalition in Ceilândia. He received public backing from former governor Maria Abadia, a Senate hopeful, and from Avante’s district vice‑president Marley Mendonça. Guiné also met with religious leader Pai Agnaldo, highlighting his outreach to Afro‑Brazilian religious communities.

In Rondônia, former Porto Velho mayor Hildon Chaves, running for governor under the Federação União Progressista, secured endorsements from key figures in Ariquemes. Assembly president Alex Redano, federal deputy Thiago Flores, and city‑council president Filipe Rosique, along with several councilors, pledged their support. Chaves runs with state deputy Cirone Deiró as his vice‑candidate and has highlighted his background as a former justice minister and educator.

Both candidates are positioning themselves for the 2026 elections, seeking to broaden their voter bases through alliances with established political figures and local community leaders.
