Anderson Talisca leaves Fenerbahçe to join Al-Jazira

Brazilian forward Anderson Talisca has left the Turkish club Fenerbahçe following a mutual agreement to terminate his contract. The 32-year-old is expected to join Al-Jazira in the United Arab Emirates, reportedly on a two-year contract.

Talisca’s departure comes after a highly productive period in Turkey. During his tenure, he scored 44 goals in 75 official matches, including a significant contribution in the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds that helped secure Fenerbahçe’s return to the competition.

Reports indicate that the decision to part ways was influenced by Turkish league regulations regarding foreign player limits. Following the signings of Romelu Lukaku and Vedat Muriqi, Talisca was left out of the squad list for domestic league matches, despite having recently extended his contract with the club until 2028. While the club officially wished him success, reports suggest the move was unexpected for the player, who had intended to remain in Istanbul.
