Andes Salud expands medical infrastructure and technology in Chile
Andes Salud has inaugurated a new, modern clinic in Talca, Maule Region, following a 45 million USD investment. The 10,576 square meter facility aims to provide high-complexity healthcare to over 1.2 million residents, reducing the need for patients to travel to Santiago or Concepción.
The new clinic features 94 hospital beds, including 18 in the Critical Care Unit, and five operating rooms. It is equipped with advanced diagnostic technology, such as a PET-CT OMNI Legend system utilizing artificial intelligence for oncology exams. The facility maintains a focus on accessibility for Fonasa users, who represent a significant portion of the regional population.
Additionally, Andes Salud Concepción has introduced the ROSA Knee robotic surgery system in the Biobío Region. This technology allows for advanced robotic knee replacement procedures locally, providing regional patients with access to high-level orthopedic innovation without requiring travel to the capital.
