Andhra Pradesh CM directs officials to expedite investment projects

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to accelerate the conversion of signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) into active industrial investments. During the 22nd State Investment Promotion Board meeting, officials reported that work has commenced on 519 out of 714 previously signed investment agreements.

Key strategic priorities discussed include the development of a semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem and the transformation of the Rayalaseema region into a global horticulture hub. The Chief Minister also emphasized the need for an integrated logistics network involving ports, airports, and improved east-west connectivity to support industrial growth.

To facilitate future economic engagement, Naidu called for the construction of an international-standard convention center in Visakhapatnam to host major investment summits. The board reviewed proposals spanning energy, tourism, information technology, electronics, food processing, and infrastructure development.
