Andhra Pradesh doctors remove 20 foreign objects from woman's stomach

Doctors at Matashree Hospital in Narasaraopet, Palnadu district, Andhra Pradesh, have successfully removed 20 foreign objects from the stomach of a 33-year-old woman. The patient had been admitted following complaints of severe chest and abdominal pain.

A surgical team led by Dr. P. Ramachandra Reddy performed a laparoscopic procedure to extract 14 ballpoint pens, five wooden spoons, and one candle. Medical professionals noted that one pen was missing its cap, which had pierced the internal lining of the stomach, causing intense pain.

The woman's father stated that she has been struggling with mental health issues and depression for approximately ten years. He also noted that she had recently undergone significant personal stress following a divorce, which may be linked to the ingestion of these items.
