Andhra Pradesh educational and civil service exam updates

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has outlined the 2026 selection process for Group-I Services. The examination consists of three stages: a preliminary objective-type screening test, a main written examination, and an interview. The preliminary stage includes two objective papers totaling 240 marks, featuring a one-third negative marking penalty for incorrect answers. The main examination involves seven written papers, including two qualifying language papers in Telugu and English, and five descriptive papers used for merit calculation. The final selection is determined by a total of 825 marks, which includes a 75-mark interview.

Separately, the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has released details regarding the Summative Assessment-I (SA1) examinations for the 2026-27 academic year. These exams, which function as half-yearly assessments, will cover classes 1 through 10. The assessment period is scheduled to take place in November.
